The Scottish Wild Harvests Association was formed following a series of workshops and meetings run by Reforesting Scotland (http://www.reforestingscotland.org/projects/wild_harvests_sector_support.php)
People working in wild harvest busineses decided it would be in their interest to be part of a supportive group.

Farmer’s Markets in Renfrewshire

There are two farmers markets in Renfrewshire that you can support. They provide an excellent opportunity to buy quality produce from local businesses.
Paisley Farmers Market – 2nd and last Saturday of each month, from 9am – 1pm, at County Square (beside the main Gilmour Train Station). There are up to 30 producers to purchase from.
Lochwinnoch Farmers Market – Held 4 times per year on 1st Sunday or March, June, eptember and December, from 11am to 2.30pm. The market is both indoor and outdoor at the Castle Semple Visitor Centre, Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park.

Celebrate the Garden Scheme that supports charity

The idea of opening up gardens to the public to raise funds for charity is developing. Within Renfrewshire, individual gardens within Lochwinnoch have opened up. Public gardens have been promoted including Sma’ Shot Cottages Heritage Centre, Paisley Gardens and Barshaw Park Walled Garden.
