Environmental Education Workshops

We deliver workshops within local community venues and adopted participative techniques including:

  • walkabout of the local streets, green space and open space;
  • mapping of local amenities and public services;
  • identifying any building, green space or parkland which are neglected;
  • taking practical action to improve the local physical environment;

Information about volunteering opportunities will be provided, and participants will be encouraged to share ideas and gain work experience as part of the project.

Working together in groups, individuals will develop social skills, boost confidence, and increase knowledge of the wider community, leading to a breaking down barriers between residents.

The workshops provide opportunities for individual residents to make a positive contribution to their community through accessing information and practical workshops which help care for their local environment.

By involving residents in activities that they find interesting and stimulating the project will help support community involvement, and identify activities which address anti-social behaviour, and vandalism within local neighbourhoods.

To request a workshop, please contact Martha Wardrop - Mobile: 0753 127 4865 or Email: retpaisley@yahoo.com
