Renewable energy in battery electric vehicles

Recent research for the UK Government (E4Tech 2007) concluded that as the transport sector is the most CO2 intensive sector per KWh of energy delivered, using renewable energy in battery electric vehicles could save more CO2 than using it in the electricity generation or heat sectors.
